From the same Patent Pending design as the Original Game & Gear Hoist, we developed the HD to handle the ludicrous loads. 
 
With a billet aluminum frame and larger diameter 304 Stainless Pins, the HD is designed for those cases where a heavier pull means the difference between success and failure afield. 
 
We redesigned the tether loop to accept larger hooks for winches, tow ropes and shackles. Adventure bikers, horse back outfitters and snowmobile fanatics alike need one of these HD's in their kit. Always!

    Question?

    I see the dimensions, & Weight, but do the pins rotate like a pully to eliminate drag?

    Hey Barry, the updated WLL is now in the "Tech Specs" portion of the page! We've successfully tested it to around a 12,000 load without any deformation or damage!


    The pins are definitely fixed, no moving parts getting gunked up with dust and dirt or corrosion! Use a low-friction line like the 7/64ths Dyneema or Spectra and you'll negate the majority of friction! Put it to work!

    You need a life safety rated version immediately.

    This needs to have wedge pullies so the rope won't drag over the pins. Set it up for carabiners to clip on both sides. A friction loop for breaking. Load rate it for 29Kn, 7000 pound minimum and its the best thing ever built for remote rope rescue.

    You read our mind! We just published the WLL at 2,500 lbs with a 5:1 safety factor. In our lab tests we could not break or deform the hoist, rather every rope that we used was the failure point at around 12,500 pounds. We're excited to see all the applications, especially those saving lives!

    Great Idea

    Does not work as well as I had hoped. My friend couldn't lift me (205 pounds) off the ground with it so I think one person would struggle to lift a big deer with it. That said, when I lifted the load with my friend pulling the rope/cord, we got it off the ground. Once in the air, there is great control of the load and easy lowering. It does work a little better with the amsteel rope than paracord. I'm thinking actual rollers with sealed bearings would work a lot better.

    The easiest block and tackle I've ever used

    There's a ton of options out there, but nothing compares to how easy this is to rig. One simple pass-through of the line and all the pivots do the rest of the work. The whole product impresses. The finish is mint, the carry bag keeps it organized. I love it!

    Top quality gear

    Hi. I ordered the "game & gear hoist HD" & it came as described.

    It's beautiful, if you like this type of gear & robust. I haven't used it yet, because I haven't bought the 1/4" Ultra High Molecular Weight rope. But I will soon. I'll probably buy 200-300 feet, (the hoist will take up 100 feet or so going back & forth 6 times.)

    The chamfered edges are smooth & the entire assembly seems strong, simply made & efficient.

    Thank you to the Raven team for producing well thought out product.
